Green School

What is a green school ?
An initiative whereby students from industrial and highly polluted areas of Poland needing rest and fresh air leave the big cities with their teachers during a school year to spend time at health resorts. This creates the opportunity for teaching and learning in environmentally friendly conditions, helping children gain strength and fight health problems. They have regular classes as well as time for rest and relaxation. The green school is still a very popular form of tourism with Polish school children and their teachers.

Special offer for schools; you have a lot to choose from:
* accommodation and meals (breakfast and late dinner) - 50 PLN
* accommodation only - 19PLN
* a mountain guide - 200PLN/day/group
* a ski instructor - 200PLN/day/group
* ski hire - 35PLN/day/person
* ski touring equipment hire - 35PLN day/person

Two teachers are provided with free accommodation. If the group is bigger than 20 students, we provide lodgings free of charge for three teachers. Additionally, we transfer your luggage from Karpacz to Samotnia. We offer rooms with from one to nine beds For details, please take a look at: http://www. samotnia.com.pl

Free teaching aids for teachers and students:
* a classroom with a blackboard; five IBM computers, a slide projector and an epidiascope
* an artificial climbing wall
* access to highly addictive games such as Scrabble and Monopoly

We ensure mountain guides, ski instructors and climbing instructors are available all day.

The program covers:
* skiing classes
* basic climbing and ice-climbing technique classes (with preparatory classes on our artificial wall)
* mountain survival skills training
* slide shows
* meetings with mountain rescuers and guides
* a mountain first aid course
* camp fires and discos
